TMU Materials Science 2024 (TMUMS2024) International Workshop on Disordered Superconducting Materials and Application ![]() About the workshop In superconductor research, the effects of the presence of impurity or the intrinsic structural disorder have been investigated to study superconductivity mechanisms or to improve application performance. Recently, highly disordered superconducting materials have been drawing much attention because of unexpected physical properties and new functions using superconductivity. However, the presence of disorder generally makes the research complex and difficult to reach the goal, which is understanding of the phenomena. Therefore, development of material design, synthesis, characterization and measurement techniques, and theoretical calculation methods are quite important. This TMUMS2024 workshop aims to discuss those difficult but challenging issues for further development of disordered superconductor research. This workshop is supported by TMU strategic research fund for international collaboration; and hence, most of the international members of the program will give invited talks. In addition, contributed talks by young researchers including graduate students will be welcomed, and there is a poster session with a poster award. (The topics for the contributed and poster talks are not limited to superconductivity). This workshop is partly supported by JSPS-KAKENHI (23KK0088). ![]() TMUMS2024 has been successfully concluded with participants from Italy, India, Turkey, and Japan.
